1. Practice! Practice! Practice!
The best way to prepare for a technical interview is to practice answering questions ahead of time. This will help you become comfortable talking about problems in a concise and organized manner.
The technical interview can be really stressful so becoming extremely comfortable with answering technical questions BEFORE the interview will pay off in spades.
Unsure of what to review? Find a few job postings of positions that you really would love to land and make a list of the skills that they are listing. Focus on those skills during your technical interview prep.
It’s also just never a bad idea to review job descriptions to get a sense of what the employer is looking for, and then spend some time practicing your skills so you feel confident going into the interview. If you know what kinds of questions they’re likely to ask, you’ll have a better chance of passing your technical interview.
2. Make a list of your weak spots.
This will help you identify areas of weakness that you can work on ahead of time. Focus your technical interview prep efforts there.
Before heading into a technical interview, it’s important to know what you’re good at (and not so good at!). This will help you focus on the right areas during your interview preparation.
With a little concentrated effort, you’ll feel more confident before the interview and perform better in the interview as well. This will help you to feel more confident during the interview process, and will also allow you to demonstrate these strengths when asked questions by the interviewer

It’s also important to do some research on the company and product before your technical interview. This will help you feel more confident when answering questions and show that you’re interested in the role.

To land my first job as a developer, I ended up teaching myself an entirely new framework and staying up all night. It didn’t even work in the interview. But I still landed the job! 4. Be patient – Technical interviews can be stressful, but try not to let this show.
Remember that the interviewer is also a person. And they want you to succeed as well. Interviews can be pretty exhausting for the interviewer as well and the sooner they find a great candidate, the better off the company off be as well!
If it helps you feel more calm, pretend that you are simply already hired and pairing with the interviewer to solve a problem.
